How much is the tuition?
Effective for students beginning the program in 2018-2019, the total program tuition is $35,980 (Ohio resident), $36,645 (non-Ohio resident), including fees. The cost per semester credit hour is $1,028 (Ohio resident), $1,047 (non-Ohio resident). There is a Specialized Services/Materials fee of $110 per credit hour included in the tuition. This fee is assessed by credit hour and includes technology fees, and part of the workshop costs. There is also a $4 per credit hour Student Information System/Network fee.
What does the tuition cover?
The tuition cost covers the cost per credit hour as well as hotel and most meals for your campus workshop(s).
How long is the program?
The program is 35 total semester credit hours (5-6 credit hours each semester) and takes 6 semesters to complete. Each semester consists of two 7-week terms (A & B), and you are taking one class per each 7-week term.
Does the Ohio University online MBA require the GMAT?
The Ohio University online MBA does not require the GMAT for admission.
Do I have to log on at a specific time?
The majority of activities you engage in are asynchronous but on occasion, some courses will have live required lecture sessions. These sessions are kept to a minimum, and students will select which day and time works best for them. You also have the opportunity to participate in live virtual office hours that are strongly recommended and recorded for your convenience. Tests and quizzes are typically completed within a certain time frame. For each course, you will want to ensure that you can commit a minimum of 15-20 hours per week for each class.
Are there campus visit requirements?
All MBA candidates are required to attend one on-campus, weekend-long (Friday afternoon-Sunday) Professional Development Workshop. Students also have the option to participate in two more workshops throughout the program, but those are not required.
Is the attendance at the required workshop flexible?
Students must attend one on-campus, weekend-long workshop. The workshop is scheduled very far in advance so that travel accommodations can be made.
How long has the program been around?
The Ohio University online MBA program started in the Fall semester of 2012. What type of student support can I expect during the program?

Can I transfer credits in?
Transfer credits are not accepted for this program.
Are there any prerequisite courses needed if my degree isn’t in Business?
No, there are no prerequisite courses required for this program; however, we will take your professional work experience into consideration.
How will I communicate with my professors?
Your professors will participate in the class discussion areas with you. Also, they will provide virtual office hours if you need individual attention.
What can I expect the coursework to be like?
You should expect that course work will be application based. You will learn based on real world scenarios and expect to apply them both in and outside of the classroom environment.
