How much is the tuition?
Effective for students beginning the program in 2018-2019, the cost per semester credit hour is $1,175 per credit (for Ohio residents) and $1,194 per credit (for non-Ohio residents). The total program tuition will vary based on whether or not an individual holds a bachelor’s in accounting:

When I graduate, what will my diploma read?
Your diploma will read “Master of Accountancy” Your diploma will not say the word “online.”
How long is the online Master of Accounting program?
For students who enter the online MAcc program with a bachelor’s in accounting, the program is comprised of 10 courses (30 total semester credit hours) and takes 5 semesters to complete.
For students who enter the online MAcc program without a bachelor’s in accounting, the program is comprised of 14 courses (42 total semester credit hours) and takes 7 semesters to complete.
Does the Ohio University online Master of Accounting require the GRE or GMAT?
The Ohio University online MAcc does not require the GRE or GMAT for admission.
Are there campus visit requirements?
All MAcc candidates are required to attend one on-campus, weekend-long (Friday afternoon-Sunday) Professional Development Workshop. Students also have the option to participate in two more workshops throughout the program, but those are not required.
What type of student support can I expect during the program?
At Ohio University, each student is assigned a personal Student Support Advisor who will be with you throughout your time in the program. To discuss the program’s structure and support in greater detail, contact your Enrollment Advisor.
Are there any prerequisite courses needed if my degree isn’t in accounting?
Students who enter the online MAcc program without a bachelor’s in accounting are required to complete an additional four foundation courses courses before beginning the core curriculum.
How will I communicate with my professors?
Your professors will participate in the class discussion areas with you. Also, they will provide virtual office hours if you need individual attention.
What can I expect the coursework to be like?
You should expect that course work will be application based. You will learn based on real world scenarios and expect to apply them both in and outside of the classroom environment.
