Dr. Michael Reece
Dr. Michael Reece is the coordinator of the online MPH program at Ohio University. He joined the faculty of Ohio University in 2019 after being on the faculty in the School of Public Health at Indiana University since 2001. His training includes a Ph.D. from the College of Public Health at the University of Georgia, an MPH from the Graduate School of Public Health at San Diego State University, and completed his post-doctoral fellowship in community-based participatory research at the Bloomberg School of Public Health at The Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Reece founded and led the Center for Sexual Health Promotion at IU where he and his colleagues and students published extensively in the research area of sexual and reproductive health research. He also has a long history of community-based public health practice experiences, working in government, non-profit, and corporate settings both in diverse areas of the United States and in several countries in Africa and Europe. He lives in Palm Springs California with his family and two dogs, a great dane named Boris and a terrier named Tamu.
