Andrew Goodnite, MBA-PMP, Major, USAF Retired, is an accomplished leader with over 20 years of broad expertise managing projects and multi-million dollar budgets in the private and government sectors for key stakeholders, including the Department of Defense (DoD). He is known for building strong multidisciplinary teams and providing solutions for seamless operations.
Mr. Goodnite states he is currently engaged in his dream profession of teaching at the university level. He teaches Business Analytics and Data Analysis in the Ohio University College of Business undergraduate and masters programs. He also provides project management consulting services to local companies. His recent work includes serving as a data analyst for a major DoD contract service company, spending sixteen months on location supporting Operation Enduring Freedom in Kuwait. During his military service, using his masters in meteorology, he provided meteorological support services to various organizations in the US Air Force, US Army and NATO. His favorite and most interesting Air Force position was as a Space Launch Weather Officer, where he really enjoyed being “on console” for twenty-nine space launch missions. Mr. Goodnite comments, “Those were some pretty stressful but exciting times”. Throughout his career Mr. Goodnite has had the opportunity to visit more than 18 countries over his military career and still enjoys traveling and meeting new people.
His core strengths include Project Management/Evaluation, Data Analytics, Quality Control/Problem Solving, Research & Analysis Team Building/Staff Supervision, Budgets/Cost Reduction, Microsoft Suite (Super User), Proposals/Grants/Technical Writing, Domestic/International Military Experience.
Mr. Goodnite received his B.S. in Atmospheric Science from the University of Arizona, his M.S. in Meteorology from the Air Force Institute of Technology his MBA from Ohio University and a Master Certificate in Applied Project Management from Villanova University. He holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute.
