Does Ohio University offer scholarships?

How long is the program?

The program is 35 total semester credit hours (5-6 credit hours each semester) and takes 6 semesters to complete. Each semester consists of two 7-week terms (A & B), and you are taking one class per each 7-week term.

Does Ohio University’s Online MBA require the GMAT?

Ohio University’s Online MBA does not require the GMAT for admission.

When I graduate, what will my diploma read?

Your diploma will read “Master of Business Administration”. Your diploma will not say the word “online”.

When can I begin the program?

The program has three starts a year: spring, summer, and fall.

Do I have to log on at a specific time?

The majority of activities you engage in are asynchronous but on occasion, some courses will have live required lecture sessions. These sessions are kept to a minimum and will be recorded, and students will select which day and time works best for them. You also have the opportunity to participate in live virtual office hours.

Are there campus visit requirements?

All MBA candidates are required to attend one on-campus, weekend-long (Friday afternoon-Sunday) Professional Development Workshop. Students also have the option to participate in two more workshops throughout the program, but those are not required.

Is the attendance at the required workshop flexible?

Students must attend one on-campus, weekend-long workshop. The workshop is scheduled very far in advance so that travel accommodations can be made.

How long has the program been around?

Ohio University’s Online MBA program started in the Fall semester of 2012.

What type of student support can I expect during the program?

At Ohio University, each student is assigned a personal Student Support Specialist who will be with you throughout your time in the program. To discuss the program in detail, contact an Enrollment Advisor.

Can I transfer credits in?

Students may request transfer of credit from an accredited university within the limits of the Ohio University Graduate Catalogue. Graduate credits from AACSB accredited business school or college may be applied. Please contact an Enrollment Advisor to learn more.

Are there any prerequisite courses needed if my degree isn’t in Business?

No, there are no prerequisite courses required for this program; however, we will take your professional work experience into consideration.

How will I communicate with my professors?

Your professors will participate in the class discussion areas with you. Also, they provide virtual office hours.

What can I expect the coursework to be like?

You should expect that course work will be application-based. You will learn based on real world scenarios and expect to apply them both in and outside of the classroom environment.
