America’s Top Business Leaders

Diversity, Creativity & Opportunity:
America’s Top Business Leaders

America continues to be a land of opportunity, just as it was decades ago. Our leaders come from all backgrounds and circumstances to find themselves at the top of the ladder as pioneers, game-changers, and entrepreneurs. Here is a brief look at four undeniable business celebrities that capture our interest:

Warren Buffett
With a reported net worth of $58.5 billion, Warren Buffett is the undisputed king of American business success. He is a proverbial self-made man, growing up in Nebraska, only to become the famed Oracle of Omaha. At 83, he is a resilient leader with an entrepreneurial prowess that makes him an expert deal maker. His philanthropy is equally legendary, giving away almost $20 billion over the course of his lifetime.

Jeff Bezos
Thanks to e-pioneer and founder Jeff Bezos, anything and everything we could ever want is at our fingertips on Amazon.com. He gave up a successful Wall Street career for a burning passion that would eventually morph into the world’s go-to online retailer. Bezos was also the one who developed the concept of “predictive analytics” – which uses search data and purchase history to make personalized product recommendations during our Amazon shopping experience.

Indra Nooyi
You may not know her name, but you know her $39 billion company: PepsiCo. Indra Nooyi is CEO of the food and beverage company that boasts 185,000 employees in almost 200 countries. She has engineered multi-billion dollar acquisition and takeover deals that allowed PepsiCo to broaden its brand to include healthier choices from Tropicana and Quaker Oats. Perhaps her greatest hallmark is that of a caring CEO who knows what’s important in life beyond the successes of the boardroom.

Sheryl Sandberg
The COO of Facebook has acquired the number five spot on Fortune’s list of most powerful women, and for good reason. Sheryl Sandberg has moved the company toward profitability in areas that were not previously returning revenue. She is also the author of the best-selling book “Lean In” that has gained international fame as a precursor to a new feminist movement within the modern workplace.
